Fiber Optic Production and Lab Test Business Development/Product Manager

Join VIAVI Solutions to lead business development for the Fiber Optic Production and Lab Test (FOPLT) Division. VIAVI, a leader in high‑performance optical solutions, supports networks across mobile, service providers, enterprise, and data center markets.

We are seeking a self‑motivated business development professional with technical expertise in fiber optics to identify new opportunities in EMEA and beyond. The role involves driving new product adoption, engaging with new customers, and shaping the R&D roadmap for AI and advanced communications technologies.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Develop a global business development strategy for FOPLT and help build a L&P focused team in SEA.
• Maintain deep understanding of market and competitor landscape to strategically position FOPLT for revenue growth and market share.
• Maintain relationships with new customers and collaborate with sales to close deals.
• Drive new logo adoption and design wins.
• Ensure sales and channel partners are aware of new products for emerging markets.
• Provide input on product direction and strategy.

Prerequisites / Skills / Experience Requirements:

• More than 5 years in a fiber optic‑related role.
• Degree in physics/engineering with MSc or PhD preferred.
• Knowledge of fiber optics, especially test and measurement in lab and production environments.
• Broad technical knowledge and understanding.
• Fluency in English; fluency in a European language is a plus.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% for customer meetings and internal workshops.

Location: Remote within Austria, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Ireland, Netherlands, Romania, Spain, Sweden, or the UK.
