Step into a newly created Field Applications Engineer position where you’ll own the technical relationship with automotive customers and shape how advanced mixed‑signal solutions are integrated into production systems. This is a hands‑on, high‑visibility role that combines customer-facing engineering, lab work, and cross‑functional collaboration. You’ll have autonomy to define processes, influence product direction, and drive design wins across Tier‑1 suppliers, OEMs, and ecosystem partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert technical support to automotive customers both remotely and on‑site to secure new business and sustain existing accounts
• Lead acoustic and electrical troubleshooting, product evaluation, and hardware bring‑up in customer labs using industry‑standard test equipment
• Act as the primary technical liaison for automotive Tier‑1s, OEMs, and partners, translating customer needs into actionable engineering and product feedback
• Manage multiple customer projects independently, prioritising deliverables and timelines in a dynamic environment
• Collaborate closely with internal engineering and sales teams across Europe and globally to drive successful implementations and future product enhancements

What You’ll Bring

• Degree: BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering preferred
• Experience: Minimum 5 years working with automotive Tier‑1 suppliers, OEMs, or within the semiconductor industry
• Technical knowledge: Strong understanding of automotive networking and standards such as A2B, AVB/TSN, Ethernet Audio, CAN, and LIN
• Domain expertise: Commercial project experience in at least one of the following: supporting automotive amplifiers, converters and audio codecs; haptic drivers and waveform tuning; or audio DSP algorithms, filter design and signal processing.
• Languages: Fluent German and English with excellent communication skills
• Attributes: Self‑starter who thrives with ownership, able to manage competing priorities and act decisively with minimal supervision

Practical Details

• Hybrid working model with a minimum of 2 days per week in the Munich office; in‑office days set by business needs and team preference
• Role requires occasional travel to customer sites and collaboration with engineering teams across Europe
