Finance Automation Specialist - Accounting & Systems

A fast-growing international company is transforming its Accounting function and Financial Systems landscape. The company is scaling quickly and is looking to identify and implement scalable automation solutions to support their continued growth.

They are therefore looking for an experienced Accountant with strong Automation & Systems experience to join their team and focus on identifying and deploying accounting automation and process improvements.

What will I be doing?

• Own and drive finance process analysis and improvement initiatives with a focus on automation
• Work with key stakeholders in accounting and finance to map as-is finance processes and define to-be processes
• Finance process harmonisation, standardisation with a focus on efficiency
• Leverage technologies including AI & RPA to automate key processes wherever possible
• Work with technical teams to deploy automations and take ownership of delivery
• Change Management: drive adoption for the new way of working within finance and accounting teams and provide end user support
• Support training of best practice in RPA and Automation tools

What skills and background will I require?

• 3+ years Accounting experience with strong accounting process understanding
• Demonstrable Finance process automation experience e.g. deploying AI, RPA or Automation tools
• Good digital finance improvement
• Cloud ERP systems experience (e.g. Workday, MS Dynamics BC, D365, Oracle Cloud, Netsuite or similar)
• Prior experience with AI or Robotic Process Automation (RPA) tools e.g. make.com, n8n, Rillet, UIPath, Blue Prism, Power Automate, Blackline or similar
• Experience automating a range of finance processes e.g. Accounting, AP, Bank Reconciliations and a proactive approach to identify new areas for improvement
• Technical skills highly desirable e.g. Programming skills in VBA, Access, .NET, Java, SQL or Python and related skills

Location: Berlin area or remote, Germany. Other EU locations possible
