Our Mission
You will be the company’s dedicated Finance Operator, reporting directly to our Chief of Staff. You’re not stepping into an existing structure, you’re shaping it. As our sole internal finance team member, you’ll have end‑to‑end ownership, visibility across departments, and the opportunity to design foundational systems that will shape how we scale.
Your Responsibilities
- Operational Finance Ownership: You own and drive core finance operations such as monthly and yearly close, cashflow reporting and financial planning. You ensure accuracy, structure and financial discipline.
- Controlling & Budget Planning: You implement and continuously improve our core reporting frameworks, ensuring clear, reliable tracking of performance against strategic and financial goals.
- Accounting & Tax Compliance: You ensure clean and correct accounting treatments, coordinate with tax advisors and external accountants, and safeguard financial integrity across all workflows.
- Financial Process Optimisation: You implement and optimise scalable, automated financial processes, incorporating AI where meaningful (e.g., improving dunning effectiveness or rolling out Agicap end‑to‑end, including automated approval workflows and reporting).
- Project Management & Operations: You support important projects under the CoS's guidance and exercise initiative through flagging improvement areas across the company.
Expect to spend 70% of your time with finance & numbers‑driven work, and 30% operations and other projects that streamline workflows, save time, and foster transparency.
Role Specific Requirements
- Exceptional Attention to Detail & Data Accuracy: You have a strong internal quality bar. You double‑check numbers, reconcile discrepancies instinctively, and ensure outputs are correct, consistent, and audit‑ready before they reach stakeholders.
- Finance Experience (3+ years): Ideally in a Finance or Controlling department, with hands‑on exposure to reporting, cost control and financial operations.
- Controlling & Accounting Fundamentals: You understand financial structures, cashflow mechanics, reporting frameworks, and accounting basics.
- Excel & Analytical Tooling: You feel comfortable with numbers and know how to build simple, reliable models.
- Systems Affinity: You adopt tools quickly and enjoy connecting workflows across systems. Knowledge of DATEV or Agicap is a plus, but not required.
- Structured, Clear Thinker: You can break down complex, ambiguous problems into crisp components and create frameworks that guide action.
