Finance Project Manager (m/f/d)

We are currently supporting an international financial services client operating in the automotive and mobility finance space. The business combines consumer and corporate financing with large‑scale operational platforms and is part of a broader European group with multiple international finance functions.

As part of ongoing finance transformation and process optimisation, they are looking to hire a Finance Project Manager to strengthen the local finance organisation and support cross‑border initiatives.

This role sits within the Finance function and works closely with senior stakeholders locally and across Europe, contributing to projects spanning process improvement, system implementations, and compliance initiatives .

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver finance‑related projects end‑to‑end (process optimisation, digitalisation, system rollouts, governance topics)
• Analyse existing finance and accounting processes and identify improvement potential
• Create and manage project plans, budgets, risk assessments, and progress reporting
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams (Finance, Accounting, Controlling, IT, Operations, external partners)
• Facilitate workshops, meetings, and decision forums with senior stakeholders
• Ensure structured handover of project outcomes into day‑to‑day operations
• Support change management within wider finance transformation initiatives

Your Profile

• Relevant degree in Finance, Business Administration, Controlling, Business Informatics, or similar
• Several years of experience managing projects in a finance or accounting environment
• Solid understanding of core financial processes (accounting, controlling, treasury)
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g. SAP), reporting tools, and MS Office
• Structured, analytical mindset with strong ownership and delivery focus
• Confident communicator with strong stakeholder and moderation skills
• Fluent German and English (both mandatory)
