Our hotel has recently undergone a full renovation — all guest rooms, public areas, and banquet facilities have been completely upgraded to provide a fresh, modern experience for our guests.

We are now seeking an experienced Financial Controller who will also serve as Deputy General Manager to help guide our newly repositioned property into its next chapter of commercial success.

Your Responsibilities:

• Oversee all financial activities including the approval of sales, purchases, salaries, and hotel expenses.
• Analyse financial data and advise management on internal controls, operational efficiency, and opportunities to enhance profitability.
• Provide financial guidance to department heads by responding to accounting inquiries and recommending actions to maximize performance.
• Prepare required forecasts and budgets (e.g. annual, revised annual, monthly, and as requested by corporate/ownership).
• Maintain robust internal controls to safeguard assets, covering purchasing, cash handling, disbursements, and inventory processes.
• Ensure accurate financial reporting to department heads, hotel management, corporate office, and ownership.
• Oversee cash management, balance sheet reconciliations, capital expenditure projects, and monitor licenses, permits, insurance, contracts, and agreements.
• Ensure compliance with corporate policies and regulations; support internal/external audits and implement recommendations.
• Serve as Duty Manager in accordance with the Duty Manager Roster, handling guest issues, operational needs, and shift leadership.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by the General Manager or Corporate Finance.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a Finance team of 6–7 employees.

Your Qualifications:

• Relevant years of experience in a similar role within the international hotel industry.
• Strong command of HGB and the Uniform System of Accounts, as well as complex financial systems.
• Proven leadership skills, organizational strength, and a collaborative, adaptable working style.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex financial data and prepare clear reports, forecasts, and projections.
• Sound judgment and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent communication skills in German and English, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Excel and Word.
