Financial Controller (Digital Assets/ US GAAP)

Financial Controller

We are hiring a Financial Controller for one of our clients in the FinTech space. This person will manage all accounting functions, ideally someone with 5+ years of accounting/finance experience, expertise in US GAAP, SEC filings, and digital asset accounting. Proven leadership in financial services or crypto, with experience in high-growth startups.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting functions, including Billing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
• Lead the preparation of budgets, financial forecasts, and variance reports.
• Produce and distribute accurate monthly financial statements in a timely manner.
• Manage regulatory reporting processes.
• Investigate technical accounting issues to ensure compliance.
• Facilitate month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Maintain quality control over financial transactions and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal reporting and tax requirements.
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to enhance internal controls.
• Perform additional controller responsibilities as needed.

Requirements

• 5+ years of combined accounting and finance experience with expertise in US GAAP.
• Proven experience as a Financial Controller, preferably in financial services or cryptocurrency sectors.
• Familier with US/HK Capital Market deals like IPO, M&A and fundraing etc.
• Expertise in SEC filings and leading teams through transformational change.
• Experience in SOX compliance in recent years is required.
• Direct experience with corporate restructuring or regulatory transitions.
• Knowledge of digital asset accounting and auditing standards.
• Demonstrated success in high-growth or startup environments with a proactive, hands-on approach.
