FINANCIAL MANAGER (Chartered Accountant) Market Related

The candidate will be a motivated individual, with strong analytical skills and will be in possession of a Chartered Accountant Qualification.

Duties include but are not limited to:

Management and overall responsibility of full financial function of the Heidelberg and Nigel divisions.
Strategically apply commercial and financial knowledge/experience in order to implement risk mitigation strategies.
Review and monitor internal controls for the Heidelberg and Nigel divisions.
Co-ordinate statutory audit and tax compliance with external auditors.
Maintain and monitor accounting system. Knowledge of ERP systems (preferably Business Central).
Prepare financial forecasts and annual budgets as required.
Compile and review financial reports.
Analyse and manage revenue, expenses, cash flows and balance sheets.
Assist management to make financial decisions.
Manage staff.
Investigate means to improve profitability.
Cost control, both Operational and Capex expenditure.
Participate in the execution of changes to procedures, policies and systems to facilitate expansion, compliance, and scaling of the company.
Manage other admin departments like cattle and feed purchases.
Monitor and improve controls to ensure serialization system is working effectively and accurately.
Ensure all SARS related queries or audits are managed and resolved.
Ensure all group requirements like insurance, pensions funds and financial reporting are met.

Stay abreast of current market trends.

Requirements:

Minimum of a Chartered Accountant qualification.
At least 5 years relevant senior management experience. Experience in the agricultural industry will be preferential.
Knowledge of internal control systems, computer systems, risk assessments, cost accounting, stock control.
Computer literate, with good analytical skills.
Results driven, self-confident, decision maker with leadership capability.
The ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines.
Good interpersonal skills.
