The Role The Financial Officer will play a key strategic and operational role in managing the company's financial health. This includes financial planning, budgeting, risk management, and ensuring compliance with tax and regulatory requirements. The person will act as a financial advisor to the CEO and take ownership of financial strategy and reporting. What You'll Do Oversee all financial operations and activities, including planning, forecasting, and budgetingEnsure compliance with financial regulations and tax lawsAnalyze financial reports and provide strategic insights for management decisionsManage risk assessments, cash flow, and cost optimizationWork with ERP systems and produce regular financial statementsLead financial audits and prepare reports for stakeholdersLiaise with tax advisors, auditors, and banksSupport grant financials and project funding (e.g., EU/ESA-related) KPIs & Goals Accuracy and timeliness of reportingBudget control and forecasting accuracyCompliance with tax and audit standardsStrategic contributions to cost control and risk managementFinancial transparency across projects and departments What You Bring To The Table 7+ years of experience in finance or controlling rolesBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (MBA preferred)Strong knowledge of financial regulations and German tax laws (HGB)Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systemsAnalytical mindset with strategic thinking abilitiesFluent in German and English (C1 both)Strong communication, negotiation, and leadership skillsHighly trustworthy and detail-orientedExperience in the aerospace, manufacturing, or project-based industriesFamiliarity with ESA-ProjectsExposure to international finance in tech/science-driven environments What You'll Get A salary of 80,000-120,000 gross/year, depending on experienceOnsite workRoom to grow into a long-term leadership position in financeUnique opportunity to join a deep-tech space company in a growth phaseStrong strategic ownership and autonomy in shaping financial structureHighly visible role reporting directly to the CEO Fast Hiring Process Team interview with the CEO, HR and further stakeholdersSecond interview (eventually)Offer We work with companies that care about building inclusive, respectful teams where people feel safe to be themselves, grow, and belong.
