Key Responsibilities

As a Flow Battery Test Engineer, you will play a key role in optimizing and scaling our iron-chromium flow battery technology. You will work within an interdisciplinary team of engineers and developers focused on improving system performance, reliability, and manufacturability. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Coordinating the operation and testing of batteries in test environment.
• Analyzing test results and drive the further development and optimization of components and systems
• Supporting component and system development in close collaboration with engineering and manufacturing teams.
• Working across teams to generate new insights and implement improvements to battery systems.
• Setting up, maintaining, and documenting test rigs, test procedures, and test results.

Desired Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical Engineering, Battery Engineering, Electrochemistry, or a related engineering field.
• 3+ years professional experience in battery, fuel cell, or electrolyzer development , including hands-on lab work.
• Proficiency in Test Engineering and Test Execution.
• Confidence in handling chemicals and conducting tests safely.
• Structured and analytical working style with hands-on mindset.
• Strong problem-solving skills and proactive approach.
• Ability to coordinate technical tasks and collaborate effectively in interdisciplinary teams.
• Fluency in English; proficiency in German is beneficial but not mandatory.

You must be an EU resident or otherwise legally eligible to work in Germany.
