We are an early-stage B2B SaaS startup in Berlin, founded by experienced operators with a strong track record of building and scaling software companies.

We are building an AI-native data platform that integrates deeply into complex go-to-market tool landscapes. Our product helps B2B teams understand, measure, and communicate customer value — and enables AI assistants and agents to take real, data-backed actions inside customer workflows.

This is a rare opportunity to join as the first engineering hire and take full technical ownership of a greenfield product.

As our Founding Engineer , you are the technical heartbeat of the company. You will lead the transition from a vision to a secure, scalable, production-ready system.

The Role

• Architect & Build: Take full ownership of the core Python backend, APIs, and data storage solutions (SQL/NoSQL/Vector).
• AI Integration: Implement modern patterns like Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and Model Context Protocol (MCP) to allow LLMs to interact with live data.
• Scale the Foundation: Set up pragmatic cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Future Leadership: While you’ll start as the primary builder, you will coordinate external experts and eventually grow the internal engineering culture.

Who You Are

• The Python Expert: You have 8+ years of engineering experience, with deep mastery of Python and backend architecture.
• The AI Enthusiast: You don’t just know how to integrate LLMs; you use AI coding assistants (Cursor, Copilot, etc.) to 10x your own productivity.
• The "Grit" Factor: You thrive in the ambiguity of a "Day 1" environment. You prefer the challenge of building a profitable, long-term business over chasing the next VC-hyped trend.
• Local Collaborator: You value sitting side-by-side with your team in Berlin to spark ideas and solve complex problems in real-time.
