Freelance Scheduler / Project Manager – Pharma / Biotech – Berlin
Contract: Freelance (B2B)
Location: Berlin + Hybrid (2–3 days on site)
Project Duration: 6–18 months
Start: November / December (flexible)
Tools: Primavera P6 or MS Project
The Project
We are supporting a large‑scale site expansion for a major pharmaceutical manufacturer in Berlin. The project involves new production suites, packaging lines, automation upgrades, and various facility improvements in a GMP‑regulated environment. This is an opportunity to join a high‑impact program during a key execution phase, working closely with engineering, CQV, automation, manufacturing, and supply chain leaders.
Responsibilities
- Build, maintain and optimize project schedules across engineering, procurement, installation & commissioning phases.
- Manage critical path analysis, scenario planning, and milestone forecasting.
- Facilitate weekly planning sessions and progress reviews via MS Teams.
- Coordinate with automation, utilities, HVAC/cleanroom, packaging equipment & process engineering vendors.
- Support commissioning & qualification planning (FAT/SAT, IQ/OQ, PQ alignment with production readiness).
- Prepare clear, executive‑ready reporting for PMO/Steering Committee.
Required Experience
- 3–10+ years in Pharma, Biotech, MedTech, or other GMP‑regulated environments.
- Proven experience delivering CAPEX or facility upgrade projects.
- Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 or MS Project (advanced scheduling capability).
- Track record of working with multi‑discipline engineering teams.
- Able to operate as a freelancer / contractor (B2B invoicing).
Nice to Have
- Experience in CQV, packaging equipment installation, or process equipment rollouts.
- PMO reporting structures and KPI dashboards.
- Understanding of GMP / GxP standards.
