Our team builds the AWS Design System. We deliver a shared and consistent design foundation, a library of re-usable user interface components, and a set of tools that allow AWS teams to build the AWS Management Console interfaces using modern web standards, guided by usability and accessibility best practices.
Our team is dedicated to supporting new team members. Cloudscape is a part of AWS Utility Computing (UC) which provides product innovations — from foundational services such as Amazon’s Simple Storage Service (S3) and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), to consistently released new product innovations that continue to set AWS’s services and features apart in the industry. As a member of the UC organization, you’ll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (Iot), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS, including support for customers who require specialized security solutions for their cloud services.
Key job responsibilities
As a Front-end Engineer, you will be responsible for the overall system architecture and participate in the design and development of the system. You will contribute to set the long term vision, explore new opportunities, and experiment with the latest front-end technologies. You will interact with our customers to learn about their needs and support them. You will contribute to the hiring process and mentor more junior engineers.

Basic Qualifications

• Experience (non-internship) in professional front end, web or mobile software development using JavaScript, HTML and CSS
• Experience in computer science fundamentals (object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving and complexity analysis)
• Experience using JavaScript frameworks such as angular and react
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in agile software development methodology
