ジTitle: Compliance Manager – Regulatory Horizon Scanning (Parental Leave substitution – Temporary). Department: Compliance. Location: Kronberg, Germany. Reports to: Head of Compliance FFB. Level: Manager (Mid level). This is a fixed‑term contract running until mid‑April 2027, covering maternity and parental leave.

About your team: The compliance department promotes a strong compliance culture and reputation of FIL Fondsbank GmbH (FFB) through proactive management of regulatory and reputational risk, in partnership with the business and in the best interests of our investors and customers. The team cooperates with all 2nd Line of Defense and Oversight functions, maintains a close connection to the Management Board, and serves as the central point of contact for supervisory authorities.

About your role: As Compliance Manager – Regulatory Horizon Scanning you will support the Compliance Team in identifying, reporting, and managing regulatory risks to protect FFB from non‑compliance. You will proactively advise business areas on how to comply with regulations; familiarity with German banking and investment services regulation is advantageous.

Key responsibilities:

• Conduct regulatory horizon scanning on German banking and investment services regulations (e.g., KWG, WpHG, AnzV)
• Monitor BaFin and Bundesbank regulations and expectations (e.g., BaFin Circulars MaRisk, MaComp, Fit & Proper MaDepot)
• Track European law and regulation (e.g., DORA, CRR/CRD, CSRD)
• Follow EBA, ESMA, and ECB topics
• Perform impact assessments for new or amended regulations affecting FFB’s business model
• Prepare presentations for the Executive Committee, Managing Directors, and business responsible persons
• Support regulatory projects and business areas by answering questions and resolving problems ML related to legal and regulatory requirements and their interpretation
• Participate in working groups and meetings of banking industry associations (e.g., VAB, BVI)

About you: You are suitable if you have/are:

• A university degree in Law, Business Law, Economics, or a comparable field
• At least two years of experience in compliance or regulatory services, either in the financial industry or in audit/consultancy with familiarity of the regulatory environment
• In‑depth understanding of German and European regulation applicable in the financial industry (WpHG, KWG, MaComp, MaRisk, MiFID II, etc.)
• Self‑motivated with strong analytical skills, able to prioritise in a multi‑task environment, and meet deadlines under high pressure
• A proactive team player capable of working independently
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, able to communicate at all levels
• Fluent in German and business English
