Full Stack AI Engineer (Perm)

Location: Remote (UK, Germany and Italy - offices in London, Berlin and Frankfurt)

We’re looking for a product-focused full stack AI engineer working in TypeScript with experience designing, implementing and monitoring AI-powered features. You’re a self-starter who’s happy to tackle complex technical problems across the stack and loves team-wide collaboration to take an idea from zero to production.

A personalised health coaching platform for people with multiple chronic conditions. Our goal is to support them with life style changes to improve their health and quality of life. We bring together health coaches, nutritionists, doctors and technology to provide engaging, affordable, patient-focused care.

Who are we looking for?

You love collaborating within multidisciplinary agile teams and value pairing with other devs

Technical experience

This field is obviously new, so finding someone with everything listed below is unlikely. If you tick most of the boxes, we’d be very happy to hear from you.

AI

Frameworks: You’ve used systems such as AI SDK, Mastra, LangChain/LangGraph in production to build workflows and agents

Context engineering: You’re aware of prompting techniques and how to apply them to different models

RAG: Experience with retrieval pipelines, vector databases, and semantic search

Tool Use: You’ve built systems where LLMs invoke external tools and APIs with proper error handling and validation

Evaluation: Experience building and operating evaluation systems for both pre-deployment validation and production monitoring

Async Pipelines: Designed and implemented asynchronous processing systems for LLM workloads

Chat Applications: Built chat systems with context management, streaming responses, and conversation history

Infra: You’ve had experience with IaC and used cloud provider services such as Bedrock or Vertex

Full Stack / General

Architecture: You’ve designed complex systems from scratch and maintained them over time

Data stores: You’re happy designing schemas for relational databases

TypeScript: You have a solid understanding of the type system and appreciate the value of end-to-end type safety

Backend: You’ve worked with Node and ideally meta frameworks such as Next

Frontend: You have some familiarity with React

Documentation: You can succinctly and clearly document technical decisions and processes

GIF selection: Hands on experience with disappearing Homer, crying Dawson, dramatic chipmunk and more

What will you be working on?

Helping to define our approach to using AI at Oska and upskilling our team

Enabling Oska to significantly scale our health coach to patient ratio

Building and monitoring async pipelines and chat interfaces

Helping to hire a great team and building a diverse, open and welcoming culture

Mission: Work on products that directly improve the lives of chronic care patients

Impact: You’ll be working as part of a small, fast-moving team

Ownership: You’ll be helping us define what the next phase of Oska looks like, leading projects and overseeing parts of the stack.

Growth: We’re a growing team with verticals that will need leadership in future

Experience: You’ll be working across the entirety of a modern stack with opportunities to experiment with new technology and build new products from scratch

Transparency: Direct access to all our BI and analytics tools and working closely with the founders

The role is fully remote but there are hubs in London, Berlin and Frankfurt. Employees that live near these locations usually meet regularly and you’re very welcome to join them

The product team gets together every quarter somewhere between London and Berlin
