Fullstack Engineer (m/f/d) - SCAYLE Payments - onsite in Hamburg or Berlin at ABOUT YOU. SCAYLE Payments is the fully owned subsidiary of ABOUT YOU Holding SE and the driving force behind smooth and innovative payment processes on the ABOUT YOU marketplace. Our mission is to make e-commerce payments easier and more secure. We are looking for a skilled & passionate Fullstack Engineer (m/f/d) to join onsite in Hamburg or Berlin. You will build reliable backend services and intuitive user interfaces, ensure smooth integrations through well-structured APIs, and contribute to high-quality architectural decisions. You will combine hands-on coding with problem-solving to shape SCAYLE Payments’ products for secure and seamless e-commerce payment experiences.

Note: This role is onsite in Hamburg or Berlin.

What you will do

Build high-traffic web applications with PHP (Symfony) and JavaScript / TypeScript
Build internal & external RESTful APIs as well as background jobs in a high-scaling architecture
Engage in decisions ranging from design to application architecture with the Lead Engineer and explore new technologies
Work with agile processes that are adapted to the team’s needs
Work with continuous deployments (Gitlab Pipelines, AWS Elastic Container Service) and monitor applications with industry-standard tools (Datadog)

Who you are

Solid coding skills in PHP 8 (Symfony) with 3-5 years of experience
Solid coding skills in TypeScript and JavaScript
Solid knowledge of the Vue 3 framework
Experience building complex products with excellent user experience
Good technical understanding of RESTful APIs
Experience with AWS, Git, RDBMS
Passionate about writing well-structured, efficient, and maintainable code
Ready to work in an English-speaking environment

Nice to have

Experience with Tailwind CSS
Experience in creating integration tests
