Functional Safety Engineer – Mobilkrane (m/w/d)

Your mission

• Development and implementation of functional safety concepts and architectures for mobile crane systems in accordance with ISO 26262, ISO 13849 or IEC 61508.
• Analysis of safety requirements and their implementation throughout the entire product development lifecycle.
• Conducting hazard and risk analyses (HARA), FMEA, and FTA.
• Definition of safety goals, technical safety requirements, and safety functions in collaboration with system, software, and hardware teams.
• Preparation of safety documentation and support during certification and homologation processes.
• Close cooperation with international development teams (especially China) and external service providers.
• Internal training and support of colleagues on safety-related topics.
• Participation in prototype testing and validation with focus on functional safety aspects.

Your profile

• Completed technical studies (e.g. electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, mechatronics)
• Several years of experience in functional safety in the field of mobile machines or automotive
• Sound knowledge of relevant standards (ISO 26262, ISO 13849, IEC 61508)
• Experience with safety analyses (e.g. FMEA, FTA, HARA)
• Business fluent in written and spoken English; knowledge of German is an advantage
• Independent and structured way of working, high sense of responsibility
• Willingness to travel internationally
• Experience in safety assessments and audits
• Fluent in German and English
