Job Description
Airbus Commercial seeks a Fuselage Industrial Architect to support the Next Generation Programme. You will be embedded within the R&T Fuselage Industrial Architects department and support the Lead Fuselage Industrial Architect. The role is to deliver an optimised Industrial System Concept that meets expected performance through specialized studies, analysis, and trade‑offs. You will ensure industrial aspects are considered in the aircraft definition, support the design of the Industrial System in synchronisation with the aircraft design, and advance maturity throughout early development. Responsibilities include formulating, challenging, and validating industrial requirements, creating the Verification & Validation (V&V) plan (including concept demonstrators), and cascading all associated requirements for the detailed Industrial System definition.

Your Tasks and Responsibilities
- Co‑design an optimised Industrial System and Aircraft with engineering colleagues
- Define the Industrial Baseline Dossier (IBD) for all fuselage sections
- Drive progress of relevant fuselage Technology Readiness Levels (TRLs) and Manufacturing Readiness Levels (MRLs), ensuring deliverables meet required criteria
- Manage and coordinate activities related to Industrial System and Built process definition and validation for metallic and composite parts up to constituent assembly
- Improve Figures of Merit (FoMs) by identifying main cost drivers
- Integrate major efficiency drivers (e.g., CnQ, serial inefficiencies, REX, industrial product lines, NPI)
- Represent the industrial fuselage architect community toward programs and collaborate with the plant customer on pre‑industrial accelerator projects
- Act as a key leader, interacting with Programs, Plants & Final Assembly Lines (FALs), Engineering, Procurement, Quality, Finance, and Technology teams
Desired Skills and Qualifications
- Degree (or equivalent) in Aerospace Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Production Technology, or a similar field
- Solid experience in factory planning, industrial lean line design, and systems engineering
- Deep knowledge of metallic and composite materials, parts manufacturing, and related processes
- Proficient in industrial requirement management, business improvement fundamentals, and build concepts
- Proven project management skills in large international matrix organisations
- Experience with aircraft structural assembly
- Business fluency in English; German, French, or Spanish skills are a plus
