General Ledger Accountant

EMEA Recruitment is exclusively partnering with an international software business to find a General Ledger Accountant to join their team in the Karlsruhe region. The responsibilities of the General Ledger Accountant will include: • Handle day-to-day general ledger accounting for several entities.• Post accruals, provisions, intercompany entries, and other GL transactions• Act as a contact person regarding postings, reconciliations, and balance sheet-related questions.• Review and analyse balance sheet and P&L accounts, identify discrepancies, and support corrective actions.• Contribute to improving GL processes, controls, and documentation• Support the monthly and annual closing process under IFRS• Collaborate closely with AR/AP, Controlling, Group Accounting, Tax, Treasury, as well as auditors.• Ensure compliance with accounting regulations, internal policies, and corporate governance requirements.• Report directly to the General Ledger Team Lead. Your profile • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a similar field.• Several years of GL accounting experience, ideally in an international organisation.• Strong understanding of accounting standards, financial statements, and relevant tax and legal regulations.• Confident using ERP and reporting systems;• Analytical and structured approach, strong numerical skills, and a solution-driven mindset.• Excellent command of English;• Team-oriented, proactive, accurate, and reliable.
