General Manager of Operations

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead and oversee operations and sales across our facilities in India and Europe. This role is pivotal in driving operational efficiency, ensuring quality standards, and aligning regional operations with global business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

• Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with corporate goals.
• Lead cross-functional teams across India and Europe to drive performance and efficiency.
• Collaborate with executive leadership to define KPIs and operational targets.

Manufacturing & Production Oversight

• Oversee plant operations, production planning, and capacity utilization.
• Ensure adherence to quality, safety, and compliance standards.
• Drive lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.

Supply Chain & Logistics

• Optimize supply chain processes including procurement, inventory management, and logistics.
• Build strong relationships with suppliers and logistics partners across regions.
• Ensure timely delivery and cost-effective sourcing strategies.

Team Management

• Lead, mentor, and develop regional operations teams.
• Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and high performance.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and implement training programs.

Financial & Budgetary Control

• Manage operational budgets and cost control measures.
• Analyze financial reports to identify areas for improvement.
• Ensure profitability and ROI on operational investments.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders including regulatory bodies, partners, and clients.
• Represent the company in regional forums and industry events.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field (MBA preferred).
• 15+ years of experience in automotive operations, with at least 5+ years in a senior leadership role.
• P&L Leadership and plant transformation experience.
• Proven track record in managing multi-country operations, especially in India and Europe.
• Strong knowledge of automotive manufacturing processes, supply chain, and quality systems.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-cultural management skills.
