About the Role

We are seeking a motivated Business Development Associate eager to join a fast paced and growing start up. In this role, you will optimize lead gen strategy and run direct B2B sales in our German market.

This role is perfect for a driven person who wants to gain hands-on experience in sales, market development, and digital sales tools to learn at a pace you can’t find in the corporate world. You will play a key role in launching AI lead gen tools, engaging with potential customers, driving our sales pipeline, and helping Partao reach its next funding round.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Generation & Prospecting: Identify, research, and qualify new B2B leads in Germany. Support outbound sales activities including cold calls, emails, and LinkedIn outreach. Maintain accurate records in CRM and help improve prospecting processes.
  • Sales Development: Conduct initial outreach and discovery calls with potential clients. Present Partao’s value proposition clearly and confidently. Nurture leads and book qualified meetings for senior sales managers.
  • Lead Gen Tools & Optimization: Assist in launching and testing new digital lead generation tools. Monitor tool performance and provide feedback for improvements. Contribute to sales automation workflows and reporting dashboards.
  • Market Insights & Feedback: Gather insights from German customers and prospects to help refine messaging. Share market intelligence with the broader team to support product and marketing strategy

Requirements

  • 3–5 years’ experience in Business Development, B2B Sales, or Account Management, ideally within a tech, marketplace, or startup environment.
  • Proven track record of generating leads, building pipelines, and closing or converting qualified opportunities.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills in both German (C1/C2) and English.
  • Experience using CRM tools (HubSpot, Pipedrive, or similar) to manage prospects and sales activity.
  • Comfort running outbound campaigns — email, LinkedIn, or cold outreach — with a data-driven approach.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset: proactive, self-directed, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Ability to understand customer needs and articulate value clearly and persuasively.

Bonus Points

  • Prior experience selling into industrial, manufacturing, or agricultural sectors.
  • Familiarity with lead generation automation tools, AI prospecting, or sales enablement platforms.
  • Demonstrated success working in European (DACH) markets or with cross-border B2B clients.
  • Excitement for building from the ground up — helping shape processes, outreach strategy, and customer relationships.
  • Curiosity for startups and marketplaces; a builder mindset and hunger to grow with the company.
