Global Commodity Manager (PCB expert)

This Global Commodity Manager position offers the chance to take real ownership within a business that’s scaling rapidly and investing heavily in its global procurement strategy.

You’ll define the approach for one of the most critical electronic commodities — PCBs — working cross-functionally with engineering, R&D, and operations teams to build capability, capacity, and long‑term supplier partnerships.

As part of an ongoing transformation in their procurement and supply‑chain function, they’re looking for someone who can shape strategy, drive performance, and establish best practice in a complex, fast‑moving environment.

Reporting to the Procurement Leader, the Global Commodity Manager will take responsibility for developing and executing the global PCB sourcing strategy, ensuring security of supply, cost competitiveness, and supplier quality. The role combines strategic planning, hands‑on supplier management, and leadership through influence — guiding and developing a growing procurement team.

Responsibilities

• Developing short-, medium-, and long‑term PCB sourcing strategies aligned with business goals
• Managing and expanding the global supply base, ensuring supplier capability, performance, and risk mitigation
• Building strong internal partnerships across R&D, Supply‑Chain, and Quality functions
• Leading supplier selection, negotiation, and contract management for PCB suppliers
• Educating and mentoring the procurement organisation, helping to establish standards and raise capability
• Tracking and delivering results through KPIs, continuous improvement, and cost‑reduction initiatives

What You’ll Bring

• Strong background in PCB sourcing and procurement — from complex multilayer to high‑density designs
• Good understanding of PCB manufacturing processes, materials, and supplier capabilities
• Proven experience in developing global commodity strategies and managing high‑value supplier relationships
• Experience working in a complex, matrixed environment with multiple stakeholder groups
• Entrepreneurial mindset and hands‑on approach, with the ability to lead through influence
• Confident communication style with credibility up to senior and executive level

The role offers a competitive salary up to €120,000 plus up to 40% annual bonus, with a hybrid working model (two days per week in the office as standard).
