Global Head of Supply Chain Excellence

A global manufacturing business with a long history of engineering quality and international success is looking to appoint a Head of Supply Chain Excellence. The company is in the midst of a major modernisation programme, investing in new technologies, global processes, and the development of a high-performing, digitally enabled supply chain organisation.

This is a senior, strategic role with real influence across regions, functions, and senior leadership.

About the Role

The Head of Supply Chain Excellence will shape how the global supply chain is measured, optimised, and continuously improved. You will create clarity around performance, build global standards, and ensure that key supply chain decisions are supported by strong data, transparent reporting, and cross-functional alignment.

A major focus of the role will be strengthening end-to-end visibility - from planning and inventory to risk and digital capabilities. You'll work closely with leadership teams worldwide to embed modern tools, harmonise ways of working, and build a culture that consistently delivers high service, balanced costs, and operational resilience.

This position requires someone who can operate comfortably in both strategic and hands‑on modes: analysing performance at a global level while also driving practical improvements through the organisation.

Key Areas of Impact

• Establishing a clear, standardised approach to global supply chain performance and reporting
• Ensuring visibility and alignment around inventory, planning effectiveness, and working capital
• Leading initiatives that improve supply chain efficiency, stability, and responsiveness
• Strengthening global risk management processes and proactive mitigation approaches
• Driving the adoption of modern supply chain tools, digital capabilities, and data standards
• Coaching and guiding teams while influencing senior stakeholders across multiple sites and regions

What You Bring

• Senior-level experience in supply chain performance, planning, operational excellence, or similar areas
• A background in complex, multinational manufacturing environments
• Strong analytical skills and comfort working with KPIs, dashboards, and data-driven decision-making
• Knowledge of modern supply chain technologies and digital tools
• Experience leading change and aligning cross-functional teams(trimmed), no

• Fluent English and Fluent German required
