Global Procurement Manager

This role sits within ABB's Robotics business, a leading global robotics company. We're entering an exciting new chapter as we've announced the plan for SoftBank Group to acquire ABB Robotics. SoftBank is a globally recognized technology group and investor/operator focused on AI, robotics, and next-generation computing. Key responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to manage and lead the Travel and Expenses (T&E) operations within ABB Robotics – a newly established setup as the business transitions towards becoming part of the SoftBank Group.
You will be accountable for the performance, quality, and continuous improvement of the end-to-end T&E process, ensuring efficient service delivery across the Robotics business.

Reporting to the Global Indirect Material & Services Procurement Manager, ABB Robotics, you will collaborate closely with global and regional stakeholders to ensure alignment of processes, systems, and policies while building and developing a high-performing T&E team.

The work model for the role is: Hybrid / #LI-Hybrid

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Manage and operate T&E processes within ABB Robotics in line with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and performance metrics.
• Lead the setup, optimization, and continuous improvement of the T&E function as part of the Robotics organization.
• Ensure compliance and alignment of T&E policies, procedures, and systems with ABB Robotics standards.
• Monitor and report on travel spend and cost development, providing transparency and insight for business stakeholders.
• Drive efficient and sustainable travel behavior in line with business needs and sustainability targets.
• Serve as the main point of contact for all T&E-related topics within Robotics and represent the function towards internal and external stakeholders.
• Promote collaboration, knowledge sharing, and development across the team and with other ABB Robotics functions.
• Ensure integrity, safety, and compliance in all activities in line with ABB Robotics values and code of conduct.
• Manage T&E processes, including credit card management and fleet management

You will join a agile, collaborative and forward-thinking team, building the foundation for T&E operations in ABB Robotics as it evolves into an independent, innovation-driven company under the SoftBank Group.

Qualifications for the role

• 5+ years of experience in Travel & Expense management, ideally within a global or regional organization.
• Proven experience managing T&E systems (e.g. SAP Concur) and implementing related process improvements.
• Strong understanding of travel policy, compliance, and cost optimization principles.
• Leadership experience in managing small to mid-sized teams and driving process excellence.
• Analytical mindset, strong stakeholder management, and customer-focused attitude.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken); additional languages are an advantage.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
• Self-driven, structured, and motivated to build up a function from the ground up.
