The Global Process Owner role plays a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and optimizing specific frameworks across all gategroup brands and regions. The role ensures alignment with corporate objectives, international aviation regulations, and customer requirements, embedding standardized processes that drive safe, compliant, and efficient operations.
Core responsibilities include managing global projects, leading continuous improvement initiatives, supporting training and capability building, embedding performance measurement, and contributing to audit, compliance, and digital solutions.
The GPO acts as a bridge between global, regional, and local stakeholders, fostering collaboration and ensuring that operational standards are implemented effectively and deliver measurable business value.
The position's focus area is Environment, Health, and Safety.
Standard Development & Testing
Lead development of global EHS standards (SOPs, manuals, organizational structures, staffing guidelines, and compliance protocols.
Drive pilot testing of EHS processes in partnership with regional and unit teams, ensuring lessons learned are captured and integrated.
Facilitate workshops, kaizen events, and training sessions to embed EHS standards and strengthen safety and sustainability culture.
Develop baseline EHS tools, reporting templates, and training materials for global rollout.
Contribute to IT-enabled solutions that support EHS management (e.g., dashboards, reporting systems, sustainability tracking tools.
Program Management
Establish governance for EHS processes, including audit protocols, training content, and compliance frameworks.
Lead communication of EHS standards and ensure alignment across global and regional projects.
Track program status, KPIs, and report progress to senior stakeholders.
Manage readiness assessments and compliance reviews, ensuring adherence to ISO 45001, ISO 14001, OSHA, EU directives, and local regulations.
Ensure effective documentation, knowledge management, and best-practice sharing across the organization.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field.
Advanced degree (Master’s) preferred.
Certifications in ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 highly desirable.
Work Experience
Minimum 7 years of professional experience in EHS, aviation operations, or a related field, with demonstrated career growth.
Previous leadership and direct line management experience, and multi-site manufacturing environment preferred.
Proven experience leading global, multi-stakeholder projects.
Experience with ISO standards and regulatory compliance programs.
Track record of implementing compliance frameworks and driving sustainability initiatives.
Technical / Language Skills
Excellent computer literacy; proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Fluent English (verbal & written); proficiency in additional languages (German, French, Spanish) strongly preferred.
