This temporary assignment is in the Product Management & Innovation team of the Robotic Solutions Business Unit. As a Global Product Manager, you will support ongoing product development and new product initiatives.
In this role, you will identify market opportunities, build and communicate product strategies and roadmaps, guide new solutions from concept to launch, and manage products throughout their full life cycle. You will also collaborate on early‑stage innovation activities, contributing to research, customer discovery, and concept exploration for future technologies.
You will partner closely with engineering, sales, marketing, operations, and customers to ensure our products deliver clear value and meet key business objectives.
Your Tasks
- Market and Customer Insight
- Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive activity.
- Translate insights into clear product strategy and actionable roadmaps.
- Participate in ongoing discovery for future innovations and potential new prototypes.
- Product Development and Life Cycle Management
- Own product planning from early discovery through launch and continual improvement.
- Work with engineering and cross‑functional teams to prioritize features, manage scope, and ensure product quality.
- Define success metrics and ensure products meet customer expectations and business targets.
- Early‑Stage Innovation Support
- Support the Product Management & Innovation team in identifying new problems to solve, exploring emerging technologies, and evaluating early concepts.
- Contribute to research activities, customer interviews, and preliminary business‑case assessments.
- Help prepare materials for internal reviews and milestone discussions for future technology concepts.
- Project Leadership
- Plan, initiate, and monitor projects including timelines, cost, resources, and risk management.
- Drive progress across departments through influence and structured follow‑up.
- Stakeholder and Customer Engagement
- Build strong relationships with sales teams, partners, and customers to understand challenges and communicate solutions.
- Support sales through training, content development, and roadmap presentations.
- Represent the product at trade shows and customer events.
- Go‑to‑Market Alignment
- Work closely with marketing and sales to define positioning, messaging, launch plans, and customer‑facing materials.
- Global Collaboration and Travel
- Work across international teams and travel up to 40 % as needed for customer visits, workshops, and product launches.
Your Talents
- 5+ years of Product Management experience in a global or cross‑regional environment.
- Ability to translate customer problems and market needs into a compelling product vision and roadmap.
- Strong strategic thinking combined with disciplined execution.
- Experience leading cross‑functional teams through influence.
- Structured, self‑driven, and comfortable managing complex projects end to end.
- Strong communication skills and ability to present to customers and internal leadership.
- Proficiency with MS Office and experience building project plans or Gantt charts in MS Project or Asana.
- Business‑fluent English; German is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Marketing is beneficial but not required.
- Knowledge of factory automation, robotics, or industrial technologies within automotive or similar industries is highly desired.
