For our Global Data Center team, we are seeking a Program Manager PMO with a strong ability to drive crossâfunctional, crossâregional initiatives in a global organization. The PMO actively participates in projects by driving process improvements and applying Lean problemâsolving methodologies. The focus is on providing structured methods to address challengesânot just executing tasks. This role fosters collaboration across teams, leveraging Eatonâs robust processes and engineering principles, while applying Lean and Scrum practices.
The ideal candidate will have an open, collaborative personality, capable of bringing diverse stakeholders together, and act as a connector and facilitator, bringing diverse teams together to tackle complex challenges. Strong soft skills, including leadership in matrix organizations, change navigation, and stakeholder engagement, are essential. This position requires a mature, collaborative personalityâa trusted advisor who fosters buyâin and transformation.
The role is opened remotely for Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Netherlands, Switzerland, the UK, Ireland. Travel rate at global level is between 30â40âŻ% of working time. During the initial rampâup phase, the role will require extensive travel to facilitate team integration and knowledge transfer. Once collaboration is established, work will transition primarily to a remote model.
Primary Function Of The Role
The Data Center industry is experiencing rapid scaling and technological advancements, driven by the increasing demand for AI, cloud computing, and edge computing solutions. To remain relevant and competitive, Eaton must adopt a systemsâbased approach and provide comprehensive, unified answers to our customersâ global deployment challenges. This in turn requires a deep change in the way Eaton supports our customers along the value chain, globally. This role will be part of the Global Data Center Team which will play a pivotal role in achieving this by supporting the many crossâfunctional and crossâregional efforts to align Eatonâs way of working and capabilities with customersâ requirements, driving unified data center ways of working, coordinating internal transformation projects, ensuring all main stakeholders understand why we are running the projects, what is their role and what are the outcomes, and coordinating a cadence across all initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate crossâdepartmental cadence for the Data Center CoE to ensure progress, visibility, and alignment.
- Support management in defining shortâ and longâterm priorities and tracking progress.
- Drive early concept ideation with functional leaders and map initiatives crossâfunctionally.
- Oversee endâtoâend systems approach from design to commissioning.
Technical Responsibilities
- Implement Scrum at Scale: set structure, train teams, run cadences, and ensure visibility.
- Lead advanced practices: backlog prioritization, retrospectives, and continuous improvement.
- Advise on performance metrics (productivity, cycle time, velocity) and make progress transparent.
Key Deliverables
- Lead review cycles to monitor projects from initiation to delivery, ensuring efficiency and connectivity.
- Organize interâdepartmental activities to meet timelines and budgets.
- Collaborate across enterprise functions (Sales, Marketing, Finance, Legal, Engineering, QA, Support).
- Provide technical direction to analysts and program staff.
- Drive development and implementation of new/existing capabilities and system thinking.
- Ideate solutions for the full data center customer journey.
PMO Focus
- Develop and maintain comprehensive roadmaps across R&D, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Legal, and Ops.
- Build strong relationships with decisionâmakers and influencers.
- Ensure smooth handovers between functional teams and oversee commercial engagements.
- Maintain deep knowledge of client and Eaton business to identify opportunities and risks.
- Advocate for data center initiatives internally and gather feedback for improvement.
- Report progress and narratives of key initiatives.
- Collaborate globally across functions to ensure alignment and support.
- Coordinate marketing campaigns and growth activities with Scrum teams.
- Monitor and evaluate project progress to ensure objectives and client value.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelorâs degree or higher in Science/Engineering or equivalent data center industry experience.
- Experience: 10+ years in electrical and data center industry, including IT applications, loads management, and infrastructure.
- Expertise:
- Scrum at Scale, Agile/Scrum, and complex program management.
- Process improvement (Lean/VSM), technical program management, and innovation.
- Specialized knowledge in IT and AI loads management.
- Skills:
- Executiveâlevel communication and stakeholder engagement.
- Crossâfunctional collaboration in global matrix organizations.
- Ability to write whitepapers and maintain market intelligence.
- Leadership:
- Proven ability to lead, inspire, and adapt in complex environments.
- Strong customer focus, entrepreneurial mindset, and executive presence.
