Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated Technical Support Specialist with experience in SCADA/EMS/GMS/DMS/OMS Solutions including analytics and IT/OT integration. The right candidate will be responsible for strategy and design of the technical solutions in the sales opportunities.

How You’ll Make An Impact

  • Responsible for qualifying new opportunities by using analytic and diagnostic skills to match user requirements to Hitachi Energy Network Control Solutions
  • Perform presentations and demonstrations of the solutions
  • Responsible for the design of the technical solution offered to the customer
  • Participate in bid preparations
  • Take ownership for the development of demo scenarios for customer demos, workshops and proof of concepts
  • Develop a deep understanding of customer challenges and needs through customer visits and meetings with a diverse range of existing and potential customers
  • Being a professional and self‑motivated driver to understand the client’s business needs, and do the mapping of their requirements with our solution portfolio in a competitive market environment
  • Work with virtual teams in multi‑cultural environments
  • Ability to make the complex simple and show creativity in your approach to problem solving
  • Being an analytic team player with the ability to lead and follow as need requires

Your Background

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or software engineering
  • At least 5 years of experience with an electric utility working with IT/OT integration and/or with a system integrator working with integration and analytics in the utility domain.
  • In‑depth understanding of the use of advanced applications within the electric utilities
  • Broad IT/OT knowledge with experience in 3rd party system integration and IT security
  • Excellent writing and presentation skills
  • Fluency in English, additional languages such as French is an advantage
  • Flexibility for travel required
