Based in Trimble’s GNSS center of excellence in Höhenkirchen near Munich, this role offers an inspiring environment to excel. Make your mark in a global leader that values innovation, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and optimize advanced algorithms and methodologies for global, real‑time GNSS PPP correction data generation.
  • Model and mitigate GNSS error sources (e.g. ionosphere, troposphere, ephemeris, and clock errors) to enhance the accuracy and reliability of the correction data product.
  • Advanced State‑of‑the‑Art Modeling of Atmospheric Errors: Research, develop, and implement advanced physical and empirical models for the troposphere and ionosphere.
  • Advanced GNSS CORS Data Quality Control (QC) using Machine Learning: Implement and maintain robust systems for the initial processing and quality control of raw GNSS data (pseudoranges, carrier phases).
  • Work in an international team of leading GNSS experts and cooperate with people across the world.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Highly motivated and self‑driven.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in GNSS algorithms, preferably in Precise Point Positioning (PPP).
  • Deep understanding of GNSS error sources (e.g. ionosphere, troposphere, ephemeris and clock errors).
  • Strong programming skills in C/C++, MATLAB and Python, including experience with version control (e.g., Git).
  • Experience with Big Data processing tools and Machine Learning libraries for numerical modeling or anomaly detection is a plus.
  • Good communication skills and full proficiency in English.

We Offer

  • The thrilling opportunity to join our innovation driven R&D team focused on developing new positioning products.
  • A happy work culture in an international team of experts with more than 100 colleagues from 30 countries and six continents.
