Grid Manager

G2 Recruitment are working with our customer who are a project developers for Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects. They are looking to hire a Freelance Grid Manager/Grid Project Manager.

Role - Grid Manager

Rate - Negotiable but paid in € per/hour or per/day

Hours - Flexible, ideally full time.

Type of role - Freelance

Working Style - Hybrid, lots of time remote based with some site visits for new or ongoing projects.

Industry - Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)

Our client focus on all of the project lifecycle from planning, grid-connection engineering, permitting, financing, construction, and long-term operations/maintenance of sites.

The German BESS market is a growth area for this client who already are successfully working on large scale projects in other parts of mainland Europe.

Knowledge Needed and Requirements for the role:

• You must have extensive knowledge and working experience of grid planning for projects in BESS ideally within Germany.
• You need to be able to have the ability to identify and evaluate new potential project sites, work out grid connection possibilities for these projects.
• Be confident and competent to handle the full grid connection process, including grid application, negotiations with TSO (Transmission System Operators) / DSO (Distribution System Operators), design of grid connection concepts etc.
• Must be a fluent communicator in German. Speaking, Reading and Writing.
• Be a registered Freelancer in the EU or have the ability to work as a Freelancer in Europe - no sponsorship or visa's can be offered for this placement.

Interviews are to be held quickly and the client are needing to have this candidate in post by the end of January/very start of February.
