WHAT CHALLENGE WILL YOU BE TAKING ON?

Asa Ground Segment Engineer, you will be responsible for the maintenance,evolution, and development of the Galileo Ground Control Segment (GCS) . Youwill work closely with various teams to ensure the successful execution of project tasks and contribute to the overall success of the Galileo program.

Your main tasks will be:

• Support in the integration, regression testing, and final implementation of newor upgrade ground control segment releases.
• Monitor system performance andtroubleshoot technical problems.
• Conduct testing and validation of new systemsand components, and report on test results.
• Support the ground segmentconfiguration control.
• Ensure the consistency of engineering activities withrespect to the qualification and acceptance test program.
• Prepare technicalreports and documentation for system operations and maintenance.
• Participatein the training of staff on new systems and procedures.
• Respond to incidentsand system failures, taking necessary corrective action.
• Support meetings andtechnical reviews with other stakeholders.

WHAT DO WE NEED IN OUR TEAM?

We are looking for experts in Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science or a related field with backgroundand interest in ground segment engineering,preferablywithin the aerospace industry.

If this position sounds like a perfect fit for you, here’s what we’re looking for:

• Strong knowledge of software installation, configuration, and testing.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Capacity to work autonomouslyand take initiative.

We will also value previous experience, and knowledge in:

• Linux Systems and Scripting.
• Knowledge of satellite navigation systems.
• Experience with automation tools and processes.
• Hands-on experience withsatellite ground station equipment and operations.
• Familiarity with agilemethodologies

Please also note that occasional travel within the EU (Madrid, Rome, ESTEC, etc.) may be required.
