Group Packaging Expert Corrugated Board (m / f / d)

Location: Düsseldorf (North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany) – hybrid (on-site + remote) with high travel flexibility (EU)

Responsibilities

• Drive the strategic development and standardization of corrugated board packaging in an international environment – with a focus on quality, cost efficiency, and sustainability.
• Lead global packaging projects from concept to market launch – including the coordination of all relevant interfaces.
• Further develop and harmonize packaging guidelines and technical standards across all European plants.
• Collaborate closely with internal departments such as Sustainability, Procurement, Quality, Engineering and Marketing to ensure integrated packaging solutions.
• Analyze market and technology trends, identify innovation opportunities, and ensure a continuous improvement process within the corrugated packaging category.

Requirements

• Solid technical expertise in the development and application of corrugated board packaging, ideally within the FMCG or food industry.
• Proven experience in international project management and coordinating complex packaging initiatives across countries and functions.
• Degree in packaging technology or a comparable qualification.
• Strong strategic mindset, clear communication skills, and a structured, solution-oriented way of working.
• Fluent English (company language); German skills are an advantage.
• Willingness to travel internationally within Europe (50%).
• Residence in the greater Düsseldorf area or willingness to relocate.
