We are seeking a Growth Data Analytics Lead to join our team. This role exists to turn data into decisions that change the trajectory of the business and take charge of moving key growth metrics like conversion, retention and monetization.
We are looking for a senior, hands‑on analyst who does not just explain what happened but shapes what we do next. You sit at the intersection of marketing, product, tech, and leadership – owning analytical truth across the funnel and transforming data into clear, opinionated recommendations .
Commercial thinking & opportunity seeking: You don’t wait for questions to be asked, you proactively point the business toward where data indicates opportunity, risk, or misallocation of effort. You turn data into clear, opinionated recommendations that influence commercial decisions.
Hands‑on involvement: You go beyond what happened to explain why, what to do next, and which trade‑offs matter and stay involved through build, launch, and post‑launch measurement. You propose concrete product/funnel changes and don’t stop with explaining what happened.
Build and maintain dashboards and reporting: This is a hands‑on role. You build, maintain, and continuously improve core dashboards and recurring reports used by leadership and teams. You design metrics, definitions, and visualizations that make complex data interpretable and decision‑ready. You fully own data analysis, data visualizations, and activating insights across the team.
Deep understanding of the data landscape: You develop a deep understanding of what data exists, where it lives, and how it is collected, transformed, and stored across different platforms. You work closely with Tech to define required events, and you understand attribution models conceptually and know their limitations. The tech team owns data sourcing, capturing, loading and storage. Your ownership starts with data engineering (transformations, data testing etc.).
Validation, plausibility, and data quality: You own data quality end‑to‑end, including commercial logic and definitions, technical correctness, and logical and technical testing and monitoring. You ensure core metrics are correct and consistent, and you validate numbers for plausibility before they are used in decision‑making.
Bridge Business, Product, Tech, and Data: You act as the data interface between leadership, marketing, product, engineers, finance, and external data partners—while remaining accountable for analytical delivery. You direct external data consultants without outsourcing ownership. You'll start as an IC while managing 1‑2 freelance Data Engineers / Analysts, with the plan to bring one additional FTE in‑house over time.
Leadership routinely relies on your analyses to make high‑stakes commercial and product decisions
You proactively surface and drive growth opportunities, turning insights into experiments and measurable improvements across marketing and product funnels
Core funnel and revenue metrics are trusted, aligned, and clearly defined across teams
Analytical debates focus on trade‑offs and decisions, not data correctness
You are seen as a thought partner, not a service function
5+ years of experience in data analytics within a commercial or product‑driven environment
Strong hands‑on experience in marketing and growth analytics, with a bias toward action and experimentation . You owned and improved key growth or marketing metrics (e.g. CAC, activation, retention, LTV, ROAS), not just reported on them. You designed and evaluated experiments, cohort analyses, or funnel optimizations to drive measurable impact and proactively identified growth opportunities and inefficiencies, even without explicit requests.
Executive‑level storytelling and communication: You have regularly worked with C‑level or senior leadership and understand how they consume information. You make assumptions, risks, trade‑offs, and uncertainty explicit, and you know how to strip analysis down to what actually matters for a decision.
Advanced, hands‑on SQL skills and the ability to navigate large, complex datasets independently
Practical experience using Python for exploration and analysis
Strong understanding of attribution logic, funnel analysis, cohort analysis , and their limitations
Experience working with product and growth analytics tools (e.g. GA4, Firebase, Amplitude, Mixpanel, or similar)
Comfort connecting commercial data (revenue, subscriptions, payments, billing) with user behavior data
Direct leverage on strategy: Your work influences product, pricing, growth, and investment decisions
Visibility: Your work is consumed by leadership, not buried in dashboards
High trust, high ownership: You have significant freedom to shape how data is defined, built, and used - with full ownership over metrics, dashboards, and analytical standards
If you’re ready to own data end‑to‑end and influence decisions at the highest level, we’d love to hear from you.
