freiheit.com technologies was founded in Hamburg in 1999 and has since built custom software platforms for leading German and European industrial and commercial companies across retail, automotive, e‑commerce, healthcare and more.

Our large‑scale software platforms are used by millions of users every day. Each product is business‑critical and strategically relevant for our customers. We have a team of 250+ members from 30+ nations in our engineering hubs in Hamburg and Lisbon.

ABOUT YOUR JOB

• You start in one of our engineering teams (maximum five people).
• Introductory training covers the technologies you will use. The training is conducted by senior engineers from our own company.
• You are involved in every part of the software engineering process: design, development, testing, deployment, maintenance, operations and continuous improvement based on user feedback and usage data.
• You work closely with our customers to iteratively improve their product offering by conceiving, refining and delivering new ideas.

ABOUT YOU

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field such as Mathematics or Physics.
• Experience in Go, C/C++, Python or Java.
• Ability to learn fast.

Bonus skills or interests:

• Master or PhD in Computer Science or a related field.
• Algorithms and data structures, with an understanding of time & space complexity.
• Experience in front‑end development (ReactJS, Angular, Vue or Flutter/Dart).
• Functional programming (Common Lisp, Clojure or Haskell).
• Experience with distributed systems in the Cloud.
• Experience in Machine Learning and Data Science.
• Competitive Programming experience.
