Hardware Engineer

I'm looking for an experienced Hardware Design Engineer to take ownership of the development of cutting-edge electronic systems used in high-reliability and performance-critical applications. You will play a key role in the full product lifecycle, from concept and schematic design to PCB layout, validation, and integration with embedded software. Your Responsibilities Design and develop analog and digital hardware architectures for embedded and industrial systemsCreate detailed schematics, PCB layouts, and BOMs using professional ECAD tools (e.g. Altium, KiCad, or OrCAD)Evaluate and select components based on performance, cost, and reliability criteriaCollaborate closely with firmware, software, and mechanical teams to ensure seamless system integrationPerform signal integrity, power integrity, and EMC/EMI analysis to ensure compliance with relevant standardsPlan and conduct hardware validation, prototype bring-up, and debuggingSupport the transition from prototype to series production, including test coverage and manufacturability improvementsDrive continuous improvement in hardware development methods, design reviews, and quality processes Your Profile Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related discipline5+ years of hands-on hardware development experience in embedded, industrial, or medical systemsProven expertise in circuit design, mixed-signal systems, and PCB layoutFamiliarity with microcontrollers, FPGAs, sensors, and power electronicsExperience with measurement instruments (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, etc.) and hardware debuggingSolid understanding of signal integrity, noise reduction, and compliance testingTeam-oriented with strong communication skills and a structured, analytical approach to problem-solvingFluent in English & German (C1-C2) What We Offer A technically stimulating environment where innovation meets practicalityThe freedom to take full ownership of design decisions and influence system architectureCollaboration with a multidisciplinary engineering team across hardware, software, and productionCompetitive compensation and long-term career prospectsFlexible working hours and hybrid work options
