The Westfalen-Lippe Medical Association (ÄKWL), a public-law corporation, represents the professional interests of approximately 53,000 physicians in Westfalen-Lippe. As a self-governing professional body based in Münster, the ÄKWL, with its approximately 350 employees, performs a wide range of tasks.
We are seeking a dedicated leader to head the Application Management and Development Division within the Technology and Infrastructure Department, to start as soon as possible.
Head of Application Management and Development (m/f/d)
In this role, you will be responsible for a team of approximately eight employees and will play a key role in the implementation, further development, and integration of core applications.
Your responsibilities include
- Management of the department
- Technical and disciplinary leadership, as well as employee development
- Management of tasks, resources, and priorities
- Introduction and further development of applications
- Planning and implementation of software rollouts (especially standard software)
- Analysis and coordination of technical requirements with the business units
- Configuration, customization, and integration of applications into existing processes and the central service portal
- Document management and digitization
- Implementation and further development of document management and archiving systems (DMS)
- Integration of central applications & further development of digital processes and structures in the DMS
- Application and Development Management
- Management and further development of business applications and the service portal in cooperation with product management
- Responsibility for the further development of in-house applications; coordination of
- customizations and enhancements to existing systems
- Strategic Development
- Contribution to the IT strategy with a focus on standardization and digitalization
- Further development of methods and standards in application management and software development together with IT PM and external development partners
What you bring to the table
- A completed university degree in (Business) Computer Science or a comparable qualification
- Several years of experience in the introduction and implementation of standard software
- Ideally, practical experience in the field of document management systems (DMS) / archiving solutions
- In-depth knowledge of application design and development, as well as a good understanding of modern software architectures
- Experience in IT project management and collaboration with business departments
- Several years of leadership experience or strong leadership skills
- Strong understanding of business processes and their mapping in IT systems
- A structured, solution-oriented approach to work and strong communication skills
