As we scale our cloud‑native capabilities and expand our global footprint, we are seeking a Head of Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Analytics to lead and grow the embedded AI and ML capabilities of our product portfolio – which spans from asset lifecycle management, and network modelling of the electrical grid, to the management of protective relays and IEDs.

Position Summary

This is a high‑impact role for an experienced and passionate AI and ML leader specialized in applying Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning to energy and industrial business scenarios. You will take ownership of evolving our industry‑leading product portfolio for electrical grid operators with AI‑ and ML‑powered decision intelligence.

You will develop and execute the AI and ML strategy of IPS, supporting our growth strategy with AI‑enabled asset intelligence and grid operations. You will form a small team of AI and ML experts as a strategic execution team who partners closely with product management and engineering to embed AI and ML capabilities in the IPS product portfolio.

This position requires a hands‑on understanding of modern AI and ML practices and tools, and expertise in embedding AI and ML in enterprise software solutions. It offers the opportunity to play a key role in the global energy transition by supporting electrical grid operators with advanced decision intelligence for resilient grid operations with the help of AI.

Key Responsibilities

AI and ML Leadership

Define and communicate the AI and ML vision, strategy, and roadmap for the IPS product portfolio.
Identify and evaluate opportunities for decision intelligence through a deep understanding of the fast‑evolving AI and ML possibilities and customer needs.
Drive innovation and design AI and ML capabilities from concept through to delivery in close collaboration with product management and engineering.
Represent and promote our AI expertise externally – with customers, partners, and industry analysts.

Execution & Delivery

Manage the full lifecycle of AI and ML capabilities in IPS products – from ideation and development to launch, scale, and continuous improvement.
Partner closely with product management and engineering in all phases of the software development lifecycle to make the product vision a reality.
Support sales enablement and customer success initiatives to maximise adoption and customer satisfaction.

Cross‑functional Collaboration

Partner closely with Product Management and Engineering to embed AI and ML scenarios across the IPS product portfolio.
Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success teams to support market adoption.
Provide insights into the evolution of AI and ML methods and tools to internal stakeholders to inform technical and commercial decisions.

Key Qualifications

Experience

3+ years’ experience in embedding AI and ML in enterprise software is required; with application to the energy industry, electrical power utilities, or asset‑intensive industries would be a plus.
Proven track record of delivering enterprise‑grade AI and ML capabilities to a global market.
Familiar with current developments in the fast evolving AI and ML universe.
Comfortable working with empowered teams in lean agile software development.
Strategic thinker capable of translating vision into measurable business outcomes.
Strong communicator with the ability to engage both technical and business audiences.

Industry Knowledge

Strong understanding of AI and ML concepts and tools and its potential application in asset‑intensive and / or energy industries, particularly power utilities.
Familiarity with electrical power grid operations and maintenance is a plus.
Prior experience with a software vendor serving asset‑intensive sectors (e.g. energy, utilities, infrastructure) is required.
