Interim Lead Unreal Engineer / Head of Engineering (Unreal)

Contract: 4–6 months (October start)

We’re a fast-growing software company (around 125 people) working at the forefront of XR and real-time technology. We’re looking for an experienced engineering leader to join us on an interim basis to guide our development team through an exciting growth phase.

What you’ll do

• Lead and mentor a talented Unreal Engine development team, balancing hands-on coding with strategic direction
• Drive technical decision-making and ensure high-quality delivery of projects
• Collaborate closely with product, design, and leadership teams to shape the future of our platform
• Oversee engineering processes, scalability, and technical excellence in a high-growth, product-driven environment

What we’re looking for

• Strong leadership skills with experience managing and growing development teams
• Track record in high-growth, innovative software environments
• Ability to balance hands-on technical work with strategic planning
• Availability for an interim/contract engagement from October to February
