About Our Client Our client, a rapidly growing professional services firm, is seeking a Head of Finance to join them on their exciting growth journey. Backed by a high-calibre, entrepreneurial investor private equity fund, the company is pursuing an ambitious expansion strategy through targeted buy-and-build, technology enablement, and organic growth. To support this next phase, they are looking for a Head of Finance to design, implement, and optimize scalable financial systems and processes that will form the backbone of the company's continued growth and long-term success. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in shaping the financial and strategic direction of a dynamic, fast-evolving business. The platform is targeting to reach >€20-30M EBITDA, and offers ample opportunity to grow with the demands of the role. Strong preference for role to based in Berlin, Germany (HQ of platform). What the job involves Build and lead a best-in-class finance function, driving operational excellence and supporting strategic growthPartner with the management team to shape and execute the company's business strategyDevelop robust financial models and performance metrics to enable data-driven decision-makingDeliver accurate, insightful financial reporting to guide both strategic and operational performanceOversee budgeting, financial controls, and forecasting to ensure transparency and accuracyOversee the financial management of subsidiaries and holding entities, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance with accounting standardsIdentify, implement, and optimize state-of-the-art management information systems and KPI frameworksFoster strong relationships with financial institutions to optimize capital structure and liquiditySupport M&A transactions, ensuring seamless post-merger integration and sustainable value creationContinuously enhance finance processes, controlling instruments, and analytical toolsAct as the primary contact for auditors, tax advisors, and key investors Who we are looking for University degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a comparable qualificationSeveral years of professional experience in a finance role, ideally within a similar buy-and-build environmentPrevious experience in a PE-backed company is highly beneficial, as is a Big Four backgroundPrior leadership experience would be advantageousStrong knowledge of Lucanet, DATEV, and Excel, as well as experience implementing and using relevant consolidation and reporting toolsProven experience working with tax advisors, auditors, equity investors, and debt providersEntrepreneurial mindset with a hands-on, can-do attitudeStrong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholdersExcellent analytical skills combined with a structured and detail-oriented working styleAbility to understand and clearly communicate complex financial mattersHigh level of proactiveness, accountability, and solution orientationFluency in both German and English You will be redirected to the company’s website – you must complete the application on their platform to apply.
