Head of Finance/ Finance Manager

We are an early-stage startup funded by leading European VCs with the mission to build advanced small Unmanned Systems to strengthen European sovereignty and security.

What we’re looking for

We’re hiring a Financial Manager to own our day-to-day finance operations and support long-term financial planning. This is a hands‑on role for someone who enjoys both execution and process building, and who wants to be part of scaling a hardware company from the ground up. You’ll work closely with the founders and operations leads to ensure our financial foundation is solid as we expand R&D, production, and international activities.

The day‑to‑day

• Drive budgeting, forecasting, and cost tracking together with founders and operations leads.
• Keep tight control of cash flow and liquidity to support rapid growth.
• Build simple, scalable finance processes and internal controls as we grow.
• Deliver clear reports, investor updates, and grant documentation.
• Work with banks, auditors, and tax advisors to keep us compliant and reliable.

You should apply if you

• Bring 2–3 years of finance or accounting experience, ideally in a startup and/or hardware environment.
• Know German accounting (HGB) and can handle bookkeeping, payroll, and closings. Experience with international consolidation is a plus.
• Are hands‑on with finance tools (DATEV, Microsoft 365/Dynamics, etc.) and enjoy setting up processes.
• Keep a close eye on cash flow and liquidity, and can turn numbers into clear insights for founders and investors.
• Are structured and reliable, but also entrepreneurial and comfortable in a fast‑moving startup.
• Speak German and English fluently.

Nice to haves

• Experience in venture‑backed startups or investor reporting.
• Exposure to defense, aerospace, or dual‑use sectors.
• Familiarity with European tax, grants, or subsidy programs.
