ITM is a privately owned biotechnology and radiopharmaceutical group of companies dedicated to the development, production and global supply of targeted diagnostic and therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals and radioisotopes for use in cancer treatment. We are developing a proprietary portfolio and growing pipeline of targeted treatments in various stages of clinical development addressing cancers such as neuroendocrine cancers or bone metastases. Our main objectives are to significantly improve treatment outcomes and quality of life for cancer patients through a new generation of Targeted Radionuclide Therapies in Precision Oncology. The headquarters are located in the heart of the research center of the Technical University of Munich (TUM).

We would like to fill the following permanent vacancy in a hybrid in Garching as soon as possible

Head of Imaging & Dosimetry (f/m/d)

Your role

• Build, lead, and mentor a highly skilled team of imaging and dosimetry specialists to drive scientific and operational excellence

• Coordinate and manage Image Core Lab activities in-house and with external vendors, including selection, qualification, and oversight of outsourced imaging partners


• Develop and plan study-specific imaging and image analysis strategies with emphasis on dosimetry evaluation


• Qualify and perform quality control of imaging systems (PET, SPECT, CT, MR) at study sites


• Manage imaging-related clinical trial documentation (manuals, reports, etc.) and ensure compliance with study requirements


• Conduct in-house image processing, analysis, and dosimetry assessments, including results reporting


• Implement, validate, and maintain image analysis and dosimetry software tools


• Support medical and clinical teams in the set-up and conduct of clinical trials, and partner with preclinical teams to design and execute translational imaging studies bridging preclinical and clinical development

Your profile

• PhD in Medical Physics or equivalent science degree


• Previous working experience as a Medical Physicist, e.g. in a clinic environment


• Previous role as Team lead


• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills


• Solid IT skills and sound project management knowledge


• Flexibility, resilience and assertiveness as well as strong problem-solving capabilities


• Fluent in English and good command of German language


• Willingness to travel internationally
