About our client

Our client is a high-growth platform in the managed cloud services and IT infrastructure sector, delivering critical solutions such as hosting, cybersecurity, and data centre operations, primarily to clients in regulated industries. The company has rapidly scaled through organic growth and multiple strategic acquisitions, building a national footprint and entering adjacent European markets.

Following a number of successful transactions, including acquisitions that enhanced both its technical capabilities and geographic reach, the business is now entering its next phase of growth. To further accelerate this momentum, the company is seeking a Head of M&A to lead the identification, execution, and integration of acquisitions. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the platform's M&A roadmap in close partnership with the leadership team and investors, with full exposure to the end-to-end deal cycle. What the job involves

• Lead the company's M&A strategy across the DACH region and beyond, in alignment with the senior leadership team and private equity sponsor
• Build and manage a strong pipeline of acquisition targets within the managed services, cloud, hosting, and cybersecurity sectors
• Oversee all phases of the transaction process, including sourcing, diligence, valuation, negotiation, and execution
• Maintain relationships with advisors, intermediaries, and founders to support long-term sourcing and market intelligence
• Monitor market dynamics and competitor activity to continuously inform and adapt the acquisition strategy
• Provide regular updates and strategic input to internal stakeholders and investors on pipeline development and M&A performance

Who we are looking for

• A degree in Finance, Business, or a related discipline
• Strong M&A experience, ideally gained within private equity, investment banking or corporate development
• Demonstrated track record of executing mid-market transactions from origination to integration
• Exceptional financial analysis, valuation, and deal execution capabilities
• A pragmatic, hands-on mindset with the ability to operate in an agile and entrepreneurial environment
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
• Familiarity with technology-driven or IT infrastructure business models is a strong plus
• Fluent in German and English
• Willingness to travel across the DACH region and other relevant locations
