About this role: We are seeking a highly motivated (Senior) Manager to strengthen the strategic capabilities of the KCP team. Reporting directly to the Head of Strategy, you will be the key driver in defining and steering our top‑city growth strategy across Germany. This role is perfect for a strategic thinker who thrives where start‑up spirit meets corporate scale in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional environment. Your work will directly translate strategy and commercial insights into measurable business results every week.

You will be based in our modern Berlin office three days per week.

About the Key City Program (KCP)

The Key City Program is Lieferando’s commercial growth engine and a central strategic initiative focused on driving superior performance in Germany’s most competitive urban markets. We operate with an entrepreneurial mindset, working closely with City Managers and cross‑functional teams (including Marketing, Sales, and Logistics) to identify and deliver meaningful, rapid growth.

Responsibilities

Sharpen strategic direction for our top cities: clarify the logic behind tactical choices and focus resources on what matters most.
Bring structure, frameworks and prioritization to a fast‑moving commercial environment.
Work closely with Analytics to shape the right business questions, challenge assumptions and extract actionable insights.
Design city interventions (e.g., partner activation, supply optimisation, logistics expansion) with clear KPIs and evaluation plans.
Turn successful initiatives into scalable playbooks and enable rollout in other markets/cities.
Prepare high‑impact narratives and performance insights for Monthly and Quarterly Business Reviews.
Ensure alignment and governance across Marketing, Sales, Logistics and Product so execution runs fast and smooth.
Act as a strategic sparring partner to City Managers and the KCP leadership.

What will you bring to the table?

35+ years experience in strategy consulting or commercial strategy roles in a fast‑paced environment.
Strong commercial and entrepreneurial mindset that understands what really drives marketplace growth.
Ability to challenge and elevate decisions, able to hold their own with experienced operators and senior stakeholders.
Experience building clarity within complexity, ideally having driven growth initiatives inside a corporate/scale‑up.
Highly skilled in structuring, synthesis and communication from frameworks to crisp decks and storylines.
Data‑literate: able to define business case logic and guide analyses (model building supported by analytics specialists).
Fluent in English; German preferred.
