Head of Security, Europe Hybrid

Role Summary

A fast-growing start‑up with collaborative office spaces in Barcelona, Madrid and Munich is looking for a lead security professional to head the company’s technical security operations. You will maintain and enforce all security policies, standards and procedures for the IT infrastructure and customer‑facing products, while ensuring that all systems are robust and secure.

Responsibilities

• Lead risk management and security operations, guiding the Security Team in monitoring, analysing and investigating security alerts from IT services and equipment.
• Coordinate and lead internal and external security audits.
• Oversee the management of security‑related technologies and tools.
• Foster a culture of security awareness and continuous improvement throughout the organization.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in security, progressing from individual engineering excellence to management and holding responsibility for Security.
• Experience in making architectural decisions, sculpting policies and driving a security‑focused mindset in a quickly scaling organization.
• Strong communication skills, comfortable presenting to the C‑Suite and engaging with all levels of the business.
• Experience in team management and juggling people, process and various priorities.
