Head of Software Development (m/f/d) SOFTWARE/DEVELOPMENT

You will take on disciplinary responsibility for the software development area of expertise and ensure the continuous development of the team.

In close coordination with the project managers and the strategic direction, you will plan resources efficiently and manage capacities in the team.

You place a high value on the professional and personal development of your employees and promote the application of modern agile working methods to ensure an innovative way of working.

You lead your team not only in a disciplinary, but also in a professional manner. You actively support the selection and implementation of new technologies and the continuous improvement of development processes and software methodology.

Together with your team and internal stakeholders, you will shape the future direction of the software development area and ensure technological advancement and innovation.

As the point of contact for all internal and external stakeholders, you will ensure transparent and clear communication. You will moderate important discussions, recognize potential challenges at an early stage and implement escalation measures if necessary.

You have a degree in the field of computer science or similar.

Several years of management experience in the field of software development, ideally in an agile environment and in the field of embedded software and modern web architectures.

In-depth knowledge of modern software development methods, tools and technologies.

Ideally, you have experience with C++ for the development of embedded software and Java, JS and HTML for the development of modern web applications.

Experience in project planning.

Knowledge of the development of functional safety (e.g., ISO 26262) would be an advantage.

Strong communication skills and experience in dealing with various stakeholders.

A high degree of personal responsibility, coupled with an entrepreneurial and strategic approach.

A passion for innovation and strong problem-solving skills.

Fluent German and English.
