Head of Tax (Senior Manager) (f/m/d)

Tasks

• Functional and disciplinary lead of the Tax Department of IONOS with currently five employees.
• Assure the compliance to all tax requirements regarding VAT, company tax, withheld tax and transfer pricing.
• Support Group Accounting, General Ledger and Tax Accounting in preparation of financial statements and audits as well as be part of the annual audit process especially regarding tax related questions.
• Provide guidance to IONOS Business IT regarding tax related questions and set and define standards from a tax perspective.
• Maintain and further develop the Tax Compliance Management System in cooperation with United Internet Tax Department.
• Continuous improvement of tax processes in order to assist business requirements and utilize Technological change.
• Development of a roadmap for integration of existing subsidiaries or new acquired entities in the standard tax processes.
• Support in implementation and improvement of the ERP system landscape from a tax perspective.
• Derive and evolve relevant Tax‑KPIs for the boards.
• Managing stakeholders: Initiating and shaping the dialogue with central stakeholders or contributing to it, overseeing the decentralized stakeholder dialogues and identification of new requirements.

Qualifications

• Academic track record with a finance and international tax background.
• Proven track record in leading tax teams, especially in multi‑tiered group.
• Relevant experience in leading a corporate tax department.
• Preferably Know‑How in IFRS and tax topics.
• Passed Tax Advisor Exam.
• Strong communication skills and Stakeholder Management (incl. C‑level).
• Experience with transformation programs and migration setups.
• English language proficiency.
