Summary

As Head of the Transformation Office (d/f/m), you are the strategic and operational partner to the CIO, responsible for the entire IT project and transformation portfolio and further development of the enterprise architecture. You ensure alignment of transformation initiatives with IT and corporate strategy, provide progress transparency, and act as technical lead for major programs.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensure an end‑to‑end overview of the IT transformation and project portfolio, including prioritisation, governance and progress management.
  • Strategically manage enterprise and solution architecture, focusing on scalability, innovation and business alignment.
  • Act as technical lead for transformation programmes such as cloud transformation, ERP/SAP S/4HANA, M&A or digital manufacturing.
  • Develop and implement a value‑management framework to measurably increase IT’s value contribution.
  • Advise and represent the CIO in critical project situations and serve as a sparring partner for business executives.
  • Establish standards, KPIs and best practices for transparent and scalable transformation governance.
  • Lead and develop a high‑performing team of projects, architecture and transformation experts.
  • Contribute actively to the strategic IT roadmap as part of the CIO leadership team.

Qualifications

  • Completed degree in Informatics, Business Administration or a comparable discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years of senior IT / business transformation experience, preferably with global responsibility.
  • Expertise in enterprise architecture, large‑scale programme management, cloud transformation, M&A and value delivery.
  • Strong strategic, technical and organisational thinking skills.
  • Excellent C‑level communication and influencing skills.
  • Proven experience leading interdisciplinary, international teams within complex matrix organisations.
  • Business‑fluent English; German or another foreign language an advantage.
