Head of Transmission & Distribution (Central Europe)

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Transmission & Distribution (T&D) to lead and grow our power networks business across Central Europe . This senior leadership role is responsible for overseeing transmission and distribution activities, driving operational excellence, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting the energy transition through modern, resilient grid solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all Transmission & Distribution operations across Central Europe, including planning, engineering, construction, and asset management.
• Develop and execute regional T&D strategy aligned with corporate objectives and regional energy market developments.
• Oversee large‑scale HV, MV, and LV projects , including grid expansion, modernization, and renewable integration.
• Ensure full compliance with local and EU regulations , grid codes, health & safety, and environmental standards.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with TSOs, DSOs, regulators, government bodies, and key stakeholders .
• Drive financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and CAPEX planning .
• Lead, mentor, and develop high‑performing multidisciplinary teams across multiple countries.
• Promote innovation, digitalization, and best practices in grid reliability, resilience, and sustainability.
• Manage risk and ensure business continuity across the regional T&D portfolio.

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• 10+ years’ experience in Transmission & Distribution , with significant leadership responsibility.
• Strong knowledge of high‑voltage power systems , substations, overhead lines, and underground cables.
• Proven experience working within Central European energy markets and regulatory frameworks.
• Track record of delivering complex, multi‑country infrastructure projects.
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen.
• Fluency in English is required; additional Central European languages are a strong advantage.
