Health And Safety Coordinator

Upto €50000 per year Onsite minimum 3 days a week Location – Mannheim (onsite 3 days)

THE OPPORTUNITY You will join a forward-thinking, international organisation operating within the technology and connectivity sector. Health & Safety is embedded within corporate governance and operational planning. This role offers the opportunity to act as the central H&S Coordinator for Germany, ensuring full alignment with German occupational safety legislation and internal corporate standards.

ROLE OVERVIEW Based in Mannheim, you will coordinate all Health & Safety compliance activities across German operations. You will ensure adherence to relevant German legislation including: Arbeitsschutzgesetz (ArbSchG) DGUV Regulations Betriebssicherheitsverordnung (BetrSichV) Gefahrstoffverordnung (GefStoffV) Arbeitsstättenverordnung (ArbStättV) You will work closely with operational managers, external Fachkräfte für Arbeitssicherheit, Betriebsarzt providers, contractors, and the wider European H&S function. This is a coordination and compliance-driven role, ensuring statutory requirements are met, documentation is audit-ready, and risks are systematically controlled.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Maintaining legally compliant H&S documentation and ensuring records are complete, current, and audit-ready Supporting and reviewing Gefährdungsbeurteilungen (risk assessments) including hazardous substances assessments Ensuring safe systems of work are implemented and monitored Reviewing and approving contractor RAMS and coordinating contractor compliance documentation Managing contractor onboarding and ensuring compliance with German safety regulations and corporate standards Coordinating statutory inspections (fire safety, electrical checks, workplace equipment, first aid provision) Supporting DGUV compliance requirements and accident reporting obligations Conducting incident and near-miss investigations, implementing corrective and preventive measures Supporting internal and external audits and regulatory inspections Monitoring and reporting H&S KPIs and ESG-related safety data Promoting a proactive safety culture through engagement and communication initiatives

IDEAL CANDIDATE Experience in a Health & Safety coordination role within Germany Good working knowledge of German occupational health and safety legislation Experience supporting Gefährdungsbeurteilungen and contractor compliance Strong documentation and administrative skills Fluent German and English (written and spoken) Structured, detail-oriented, and confident working independently Comfortable collaborating within an international matrix organisation

DESIRABLE Qualification as Sicherheitsbeauftragter or equivalent H&S certification Experience working with external Fachkraft für Arbeitssicherheit First Aid at Work qualification Full driving licence
