Job Overview
Healthcare Professionals are needed to provide medical services to supplement the medical staff in support of the Military Treatment Facilities and Health Clinics within the U.S. Army Medical Command, Regional Health Command Europe, and other Department of Defense (DoD) agencies, including the US Navy and US Air Forces in Europe.
Qualifications
Degree: Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) or a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree recognized by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapist
Education: Graduate from a School of Social Work fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) or a Graduate from a college or university accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or as otherwise identified in the TO
Experience: As required to meet clinical competency requirements as specified in the service-specific credentialing instruction, plus two years beyond the degree of direct experience in child maltreatment, child abuse prevention, dysfunctional couples, families experiencing stress, violent hostile individual clients, parenting programs, or related areas
Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Registered Nurse
Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:
Supports the Army's New Parent Support Program (NPSP) for expectant and new parents augments and expands the existing Family Advocacy Program (FAP); Army Regulation (AR
Coordinate appropriate referrals to community and other Government agencies for services
Independently assess the psychosocial functioning and needs of clients and their family members and formulate and implement a treatment plan, identifying the client's problems, strengths, weaknesses, coping skills, and assistance needed, in collaboration with the patient, family, and interdisciplinary treatment team
Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of family growth and strengths, stages of child development, and the emotional needs and stresses of deployment, separation, homecoming, and reunion
DOCPER/SOFA/Logistical Support Status
This position is eligible for support under NATO Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA) supplemental agreement articles 72 or 73.
